The Pru East District Assembly convened its third general meeting on 11th December, 2023 marking an important milestone in the journey towards local development and governance. The meeting, held at the Assembly Hall of the District Assembly served as a platform to discuss pertinent issues and chart a course for progress in the Pru East District.
The meeting saw the presence of notable members, including the District Chief Executive, Alhaji Abdulai Adams, the District Coordinating Director, Alhaji Bawa Musah L. , Mike Kyereh Morris, the District Works Engineer and Abednego Badingu John from the Ghana Maritime Authority.
The meeting commenced with a welcome Address by Hon. Patrick Yaw Boakye, the Honorable Presiding Member. After that a statement delivered by the Honorable Member of Parliament, whose address provided valuable insights into initiatives aimed at addressing the needs of constituents. Following the MP’s statement, the District chief Executive offered a short remarks, setting the stage for proceedings ahead.
A key agenda item was the reading and approval of previous meeting Minutes. The presentation of the Executive Committee report provided attendees with valuable insights into the progress and activities of key district committees. These reports, prepared by dedicated committee members, showcased the diligent efforts being made to address pressing isues and deliver tangible results for the District.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the briefing by the regional coordinator of Zoomlion. The presentation shed light on efforts to enhance waste management and environmental sustainability within the District.
Throughout the meeting, robust discussions and exchange of ideas took place, with attendees actively engaging in dialogue on topics ranging from infrastructure development to social welfare initiatives. The third general Assembly meeting of the Pru East District Assembly was a success.
