HON. ALHAJI ABDULAI ADAMS(DCE) WITH NANANOM AND FANTIAKURA OPINION LEADERS AT THE RELOCATION SITE.

Following the catastrophic flood caused by the Akosombo spillage, which forced the community of Fantiakura, in the Pru East District, to evacuate its properties and its citizens, prompt action has been made to attend to the immediate needs of those affected. Led by the District Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Abdulai Adams and local traditional leaders, efforts have been made to establish a relocation site and commence construction of new buildings for the displaced residents.

In the wake of the flood, creating a safe and secure relocation site were displaced residents could start again was one of the top concerns that became apparent. In order to find suitable site for the construction of new structures to the house the affected population, the DCE and Nananom conducted thorough assessments to identify suitable land for construction of new buildings to accommodate the affected population.

With the relocation site secured, preparations are now underway to initiate construction activities.
