The Bono East Regional Co-ordinating Council (BERCC), through its Regional Monitoring Team from the Regional Planning Co-ordinating Unit, conducted a quarterly monitoring exercise at the Pru East District Assembly on Thursday, 18th June 2026.
The exercise formed part of efforts to assess the performance of all eleven (11) Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in the Bono East Region. During the visit, the team met with the District Chief Executive, District Co-ordinating Director, Heads of Departments and Unit Heads to review the Assembly’s achievements, challenges and progress made during the quarter.
The Regional Monitoring Team, led by Pln. Beatrice Kwarteng Osei-Asare, Regional Development Planning Officer, expressed satisfaction with the performance of the Assembly and commended staff for their commitment to duty. The team encouraged all departments and units to continue working hard, improve upon their core mandates, and maintain high standards in service delivery to support the development of the district.
The monitoring exercise was undertaken to evaluate the Assembly’s performance, identify challenges and provide recommendations to improve service delivery. The exercise is expected to contribute to better planning, effective implementation of development projects and improved services for the people of Pru East District.
Speaking on behalf of the Assembly, Hon. Dauda Abdul Nassir, District Chief Executive, together with the leadership of the Pru East District Assembly, thanked the Regional Monitoring Team for the visit and valuable guidance provided. He noted that such monitoring exercises help motivate staff, strengthen performance, and encourage continuous improvement in the discharge of their responsibilities.
He further emphasized that the recommendations from the team would support the Assembly’s efforts to accelerate development and improve the well-being of communities across the district.
