CONFIRMATION OF THE PRESIDENT NOMINEE FOR THE POSITION OF DISTRICT CHIEF EXECUTIVE FOR PRU EAST DISTRICT ASSEMBLY

A momentous event unfolded at the Pru East District Assembly Hall on February 16th, 2024 as Honorable Haruna Mohammed was confirmed as the District Chief Executive(DCE) for the Pru East District.

Following the nomination by the President of the Republic of Ghana, Hon. Haruna Mohammed’s confirmation was a subject to a vote by the Assembly Members of the Pru East District. The Assembly Members voted in favor of confirming Hon. Haruna Mohammed as the new DCE. A total number of twenty-two(22) assembly members were present and voted. The Honorable nominee got twenty-two(22) of the total votes cast with no rejected ballot.

Among the notable attendees were the Bono East Regional Minister, Hon. Kwesi Adu Gyan, some representatives from the New Patriotic Party, traditional chiefs, muslim leaders and some representatives from the christian council. Staffs of the Pru East Assembly, family members and friends of Hon. Haruna Mohammed also came to witness the occasion.

After confirmation, Honorable Haruna Mohammed was sworn in as the District Chief Executive of Pru East District. The swearing in was a dignified affair, symbolizing the official assumption of office and commitment to uphold the responsibilities entrusted to him by the people of the district.

During his inaugural address, Hon. Haruna Mohammed outlined his vision for the Pru East District , emphasizing one key theme as;

Inclusive Development : He pledged to pursue policies and initiatives that promote inclusive development and uplift the lives of all residents in the district.

The confirmation of Hon. Haruna Mohammed as the District Chief Executive for the Pru East District represents a new chapter in the district’s journey towards progress and development.
