HON. REGIONAL MINISTER AND OFFICIALS FROM NADMO VISIT THE FLOODED COMMUNITIES IN THE PRU EAST DISTRICT.

The Honorable Regional Minister; Hon. Kwasi Adu-Gyan accompanied by the District Chief Executive; Hon. Alhaji Abdulai Adams and officials from the National Disaster Management Organization(NADMO) undertook on a crucial visit to evaluate the situation and coordinate relief efforts to victims of the Akosombo Dam spillage in the Pru East District.

The visit commenced with a comprehensive assessment of the flood-affected areas, with officials surveying the extent of damage, identifying vulnerable populations and evaluating the most pressing needs. Assembly members and other community leaders were actively engaged in the process providing valuable insights into the impact of the floods on their lives, livelihoods and well-being.

The Regional Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to providing necessary resources and support to address the underlying causes of flooding and mitigate future risks. He emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between government agencies, local authorities ,civil society organizations and communities in building resilient communities and safeguarding lives and property from natural disasters.

In summary, the visit of the Honorable Regional Minister and NADMO officials to communities affected by the spillage in the Pru East District exemplified a commitment to responsive governance.
